We are delighted to announce the opening of our website! We’ve been tweeting since July but thought it was about time we complemented our micro-blogging with a website and an opportunity to provide a bit more background on the Barn (via this blog).
So, in this first short blog, we thought we would let you know how things have been going since we made the Barn available for guests. Here goes!
We started advertising the Barn on holidaylettings.co.uk on 14 July with availability starting from 26 July. As we were making finishing touches to the Barn, we got our first ever booking on the 15 July (and we really do mean our first ever booking; we are new to holiday lets and this is our very first season!!). We welcomed our very first guests on the 26 July for two weeks and barring six days in early September, we’ve been full ever since! We have been delighted by the interest and number of bookings so far and feel very honoured to have received (at the time of writing) six 5-star reviews on Trip Advisor (two of them simply entitled “Perfect”). Thank you so much to all those guests that have taken the time to provide a review and special thanks to our very first guests (you know who you are!) for buying a guest book for the Barn (something we had inadvertently overlooked!). This is filling up fast and we will be sure to buy a new one when it’s nearly full! 🙂
For the rest of 2014, October is full, we have 14 nights available in November and around 14 in December (sorry but Christmas is gone). As we look to 2015, we are delighted that 3 guests who have stayed with in 2014 have already rebooked for 2015. As of today we have more than 80 nights booked out already for next year! Again, a big thank you to you all.
